The Brazilian Federation of Hospital Administrators (FBAH) has just turned 48. To mark the new cycle, the entire board of the institution took part in the first innovation workshop using the design thinking methodology. According to the institution's president and CEO of Sincron, Liliana Cherfen, the aim of the meeting was to redesign strategic planning and also to create new possibilities and opportunities for the institution's sustainability.
About a year ago, the FBAH implemented a modern management that maintained the legacy of the organization, but incorporated new, more innovative and articulated actions aimed at members and the qualification of hospital administrators and health managers. "It's a daily and continuous challenge, because the federation has been going through several transformations, so we will continue with the purpose of the organization, but we are gradually implementing the necessary changes to be able to offer the organization longevity," says Liliana Cherfen.
Adilson Bretherick, chairman of the FBAH's Supervisory Board and an executive in the health sector for over 30 years, currently CFO of Hospital das Clínicas, adds that the FBAH's 48 years enhance the institution's representativeness. "It's been 48 years representing the large class of healthcare managers in the hospital sector. The FBAH has a history of very important achievements. We only have to celebrate its creation, objectives and results," he commented.
And in order to put the new strategy into practice, the president has a board of directors made up of members who already worked at the FBAH, with professionals who are recognized throughout the health market.
"It's a board committed to change, and this is essential for us to be able to act in a more democratic and complete way. We have different expertise, but it complements every step we take," he says.
What's new for Hospitalar
For the 26th edition of Hospitalar, the FBAH intends to bring some new features, articulating a more modern event. Speakers recognized in the literary market and consultancy in the area of purpose and leadership 4.0 are some of the examples that will be presented. "We're going to create a dedicated format for hospital administrators and health managers to have relevant and essential content for their day-to-day work. We'll have discussions and an exchange of experiences," says Cherfen.
The president also revealed that in order to develop a work of excellence, she relies on the partnership with Hospitalar. "It's a historic alliance. Hospitalar has accompanied the entire development of the organization and, most importantly, has supported us at all times. This partnership of ours is very unique and only grows every year," he concluded.
